Even those of us that love to cook sometimes lose the desire to do so, especially when it is forced upon us. Thankfully our friends at The Columbusite have provided a list of local options offering curbside service. Many locations are offering several specials and discounts and a few are willing to deliver within a certain radius. As with just about everything nowadays please check the facebook page or call ahead to be sure of hours of operation and menus as changes may need to happen with short notice.
Here are 3 of my Columbus favorites:
The Simple Greek: There are actually 2 locations, Kitten Lake in Midland and on Broadway in Columbus, and ordering is available online or by phone. I would suggest ordering by phone as some items I ordered were unavailable. The food is amazing and the customer service is fabulous, so they definitely deserve a try if you haven't visited them yet!
Thai House: Regular customers are greeted by name, food is made to order and full of flavor. The menu on the website has a picture of most dishes to help with ordering if you are unfamiliar with Thai food and the staff is very knowledgable and willing to answer any questions. This is their facebook page.
11th and Bay: Offers amazing locally sourced dinners with a really strong focus on complimenting flavors. Their menu is fluid so be sure to check their facebook page for changes or call to be sure of availability. Orders can be made by phone or online.
Looking for a little road trip? Call ahead to verify availability and ask for good picnic locations nearby. Here are my favorites within a short drive:
Buena Vista has Sign of the Dove Restaurant and J&L Pizzeria.
Callaway Gardens Country Kitchen is offering their home-cooked favorites and a wonderful view.
Cusseta offers The Ranger Burger, our favorite local burger shop with tons of other options.
Ellerslie is home to The Farm House Restaurant. The menu changes but features hometown flavors and a variety of sweets!
