A Note From Your Publisher: Info on Chattahoochee Valley

Coronavirus means the situation is changing quickly

By Heather Raulston, Editor & Publisher Macaroni Kid Columbus March 20, 2020

Oh, how I hate to be yet another email in your box talking about this despicable disease, but here we are.  Unfortunately, this is an uncertain time, and things seem to be changing by the day -- if not the hour -- with coronavirus and the reaction to it as health officials and the government try to slow its spread.

Chattahoochee Valley events are being canceled and postponed at an alarming rate that I have been unable to keep up with.

For instance, Home Depot and Lowe's have canceled their kids' workshops nationwide for the time being.  The Chattahoochee Valley Library System has closed all locations including the book drops and 24-hour machines.  Several of the local play areas and restaurants are temporarily closed or have closed their dining rooms to offer take out only.

I always recommend verifying event details with the venue before you attend, and it is especially important to do so right now as businesses navigate hours of operation and local events are being canceled with little to no notice.

Please watch the CDC, the Georgia Department of Health, and your county Health Department for the latest news. (Click here for links to the county health departments.)

And, of course, please take care of yourselves and your family. (But leave some toilet paper for the rest of us.)

Love and prayers,

Heather
