In January my husband was able to take my oldest son on a boy's day to an event in Savannah. I was only a few weeks from delivering our 5th child and with 3 girls the event just worked out better for the 2 of them. This, of course, was met with several ongoing exclamations of "when is our girl's day?". What could possibly make a better girl's night than princesses and ice skating?!?
Now I know that Disney on Ice is here in Columbus this weekend, but my boys got to go all the way to Savannah! This didn't seem like such a fair trade so I have taken it up a notch and we are going to the showing in Duluth, Ga at the Infinite Energy Arena. Lord knows we moms get the short end of the stick pretty often so we totally deserve this!
I'm not sure what is more exciting: being able to get out of the house for a while or being able to have some silly time with my girls, something that is seriously overdue. I really don't know the last time I had the 3 of them to myself. So far everything is a surprise and I'm not sure how or when I will tell them. Decisions, decisions.
It will definitely be a joy to see the joys of these characters through their eyes! I'm sure my 10 yo will decide she wants to be the next best figure skater and my 6yo will fall in to be like her hero. My 2 yo is the most unpredictable of the crew so I'll have to let y'all know how that goes.
The biggest decision is to stay the night or come on home. Hmmmm…..
